Are kids/pets allowed?

While we understand the interest in bringing your pets  unfortunately they are not allowed.

We are kid friendly. However, the domes and property are not kid proof, so if you are bringing your kids, we remind you to bring all necessary items they require, as well as safety items. Please note, children are your responsibility at all times.

Is there wifi?

We are in the process of getting Wifi. Stay tuned!

Are there parking spots?

Yes, we offer 1 parking spot per dome. If there are extra vehicles, there is additional parking for a fee available. Please inquire further with us for details.

How do I get there?

We are located in the forest at Stillwater Marina 131 McGregor Bay Rd Birch Island ON P0P1A0. we have placed signs through the parking lot, to assist with navigating to your Private Geodome with Among the Trees. Simply follow the signs "Among the Trees", where you will go up a backcountry road (please contact owners if yourself or your car is not comfortable going up the road), a parking lot is on the left labelled, and you can drive to the top of the road. You will be able to unload your belonging's, turn around and park in the parking lot. If you are not comfortable doing so, no problem, contact the owners for assistance with check in/.check out. If you have more than 1 car per dome, let us know at the time of your booking so we can make arrangements with the marina for parking (additional fee per extra car will apply, and is payable to the marina). There is a sign for each dome, the Canopy House is the first dome, past the sauna to get to the Maple House. We have labelled the Sauna, and where the property is for Among the Trees, please be respectful and stay within bounds of the property. You will also find signs down to the Marina and dock area

Is there drinking water?

Yes! We will provide you with 5 gallon jug of water, that will be labelled DRINKING WATER. We  kindly ask our guests to limit plastic water bottles. Please do not drink from the taps, or any jugs not labelled drinking water.

What is a geodesic dome?

A dome shaped yurt, featuring a 180 degree panoramic window and skylight. Our domes not only allow you to relax in comfort while enjoying the beauty of nature, they also have little environmental impact, while being 4 seasons and able to handle various weather elements.

What is glamping?

Luxury camping is the best way to summarize the experience. Whether you are an experienced camper/outdoors person, or someone with no experience who wants to get away and relax in nature. Our glamping domes offer just that. Equipped with modern amenities and accessories that are both cozy and luxurious, while disconnecting from the daily hustle and bustle and relaxing among the trees in nature.

Is there a waitlist?

Yes! If the dates you are interested in are booked, send us an email with a request to join our waitlist, where you can receive notifications of an availability.

Are you open during the winter?

We are thrilled to have you stay during the winter months (November-May) There are some additional mentions and preparations for these cold months. Shower/water: While each dome is equipped with a sink, and running water May-October (pending weather), during these cooler months, we have to shut down direct water access. However, we will supply jugs of water for drinking and washing. As well, the sauna will come equipped with a portable camping shower. Where you can either warm water in the sauna and shower there. If you are booking in the winter, there is no drivable road access for vehicles up  to the domes. You can bring your own snowmobile for transportation, or connect with us to arrange a shuttle service. If you are visiting during the winter months, take a look at the winter activities we have available!

Is there water/beach access?

The domes are located in the forest of Stillwater Marina, this provides our guests with access to Mcgregor Bay. Dockage and Launch fees are to be paid on site.

McGregor Bay is one of the most scenic waterways in the country, this offers guests endless adventure. Bring your boat, canoe or paddle board. We have provided our guests with the use of a kayak, canoe and paddleboat. Life jackets will also be supplied, and required to be worn at all times when on water toys. We also have Paddleboards for use upon request, please contact us. *Please note there is note lifeguard on duty, and anyone under 16 requires parental supervision*

What is your cancellation policy?

Upon booking, there is a waiver to sign with the detailed cancellation policy. A waiver will also be emailed to you, and we require all guests names to be on the waiver and signed prior to check in. While we understand things can come up last minute we do have a cancellation policy. At the time of booking you will be charged 100% of your total reservation fee. Cancelling with 30+ days of your reservation check in- full refund (excluding credit card booking fees 2.9%). Cancelling with 14+ days notice of your reservation check in- 50% of your reservation fee is refundable (credit card and booking fees excluded). If you cancel with less than 14 days notice, you will receive no refund.

What electronic devices can be used and plugged in to the outlets in the domes?

Keeping in mind Among the Trees is an experience, and we want our guests to be able to disconnect from the noise and connect with nature. So we have equipped each dome with lights, and the ability to charge a phone, laptop and portable speaker. Please note, blender, hair straightener/ hair dryer, are not able to be plugged in. If you have a specific item and are unsure if you can plug it in to the power, please inquire. Disregarding of power usage can result in a loss of your $250 deposit and potential $500 fine, and 100% of any and all damages associated.

What should I bring?

In order to make your stay the most enjoyable, relaxing and custom to your needs. We recommend bringing anything you feel would enhance your stay. Please note that weather fluctuates, and always check the weather before coming to ensure you have the right gear for your stay!
